<br /> PERMITTING REGULATORY DESCRIPTION/ HISTORY
<br /> DK submitted a permit application (Part A) and received an Interim Status Document (ISD) in August 1983. DK submitted a Part B application, in 1985 and several revised Part B applim
<br /> and was approved as technically complete in August 2000. On May 31 , 2001 , DTSC approved a Health Risk Assessment Report (HRA) and prepared an Environmental Impact Report
<br /> pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the issuance of a 10-year hazardous waste Facility permit for DK Compton Facility. This permit was effective on July 6,
<br /> and was expired on July 6, 2011 . This permit allows the Permittee to store, treat, and transfer used oil, ethylene glycol, oily water, oily waste, contaminated petroleum products, oily solid
<br /> used oil filters, and used glycol .
<br /> On January 14, 2011 , DK submitted a permit renewal application before the expiration of the permit and pursuant to California Code of Regulations, title 22, section 66270.51 , DTSC
<br /> authorized DK to continue operating the Facility under the terms and conditions of the existing permit until the Department makes a final decision on the renewal application. DTSC
<br /> determined the permit application was administrative complete on April 11 , 2011_
<br /> DK submitted a revised Part B application on April 72 2014. The permit application requests authorization for a total maximum container storage capacity of 944-55-gallon drums and up
<br /> cubic yards of solids in the Container Storage Unit; and storage and treatment of hazardous waste in tanks, a total maximum tank storage capacity of 5,201 ,662 gallons, and a maximun
<br /> treatment capacity, in gallons per day, of 374,400 in the Used Oil Recycling Unit; 242,400 for the Waste Water Treatment Plant; 28,000 in the Antifreeze Coolant Recycling Unit; 80,0001
<br /> RCRA Fuels Unit; 576,000 for three treatment tanks in the Solid Waste Reduction Unit.
