Airport Way <br />Stockton, CA 95206 <br />Dear Ms. Florido, <br />In response to the inspection conducted on April 25, 2019, and the amended report of <br />May 6, 2019, for Family Dollar Store #31867 (11867) in Stockton, California, please see the <br />outline below, and the exhibits which follow, referencing existing procedures, documentation <br />and/or actions taken: <br />1. The Store Manager and three Assistant Store Managers (ASMs) have been retrained on <br />the hazardous waste program (EXHIBIT A). Hazardous waste is to be processed by <br />managers only. <br />2. Our hazardous waste vendor, Stericycle, submits manifests to the DTSC on behalf of the <br />company. Please see the vendor letter of responsibility (EXHIBIT B). <br />3. The generator copies of the manifests listed below have been resubmitted to DTSC via <br />USPS with tracking number 9505514524169157221215 (EXHIBIT C). <br />No. 011385025 FLE <br />No. 011385026 FLE <br />4. In response to the accumulation limit cited on page 12, item 601, this facility is a very <br />small quantity generator with a monthly accumulation amount less than 100 kg. The <br />store had two pickups in the last year where the combined weight was only 137 pounds <br />or 62 kgs. The 180-day accumulation limit should not apply here. <br />Waste began accumulating at this store on September 10, 2018 (after the pick up on <br />September 4, 2018) and was picked up on June 5, 2019 by Stericycle.
