Monica placed the aerosol can into a bag and into an AF <br />HW tote at the time of inspection. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> - the words “Hazardous Waste” <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> - composition (contents) <br /> - accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br />information. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br /> 712 CCR 66273.34 UW handler (UWH) failed to label universal waste to identify type of universal waste. <br />An unlabeled tote was found in the HW storage area containing a Wireless Gear Wireless FM Transmitter With <br />Remote bagged and labeled "UW" (IMG 5546-50). Monica labeled the tote with a pre-printed Universal Waste (UW) <br />label and marked electronic devices on the label. <br />Universal waste shall be marked with the words "Universal Waste" and the type of waste (batteries, mercury <br />containing equipment, lamps, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass). <br />Immediately label these wastes and ensure that all universal wastes are labeled with the required information. <br />This was corrected on site. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Notes: <br />- According to Monica Gabales, store manager, the facility began operating on April 5, 2018. <br />- Three empty packs of GS Neutral Cleaner Concentrate were found on the ground in front of the HW storage <br />area (IMG 5588-90). According to Monica the empty packs of GS Neutral Cleaner Concentrate are placed in the <br />trash. However, during a hazardous waste inspection conducted at Family Dollar #32181, 2043 Jackson Ave., <br />Escalon, CA on 3/27/2019, empty packs of GS Neutral Cleaner Concentrate are being disposed of as hazardous <br />waste.
