BF - Project No. 09-6532 <br /> Sampling Methodology <br /> Surface samples are collected using sterile filter paper wetted with 5ml of methanol per the <br /> recommendations of the laboratory. After wiping the areas of concern, the filter paper is placed into a <br /> uniquely numbered cleaned centrifuge tube; a 100 cm2 sampling template is used. A new 100cm2 <br /> sampling template is used for each sample collected. Each sample is recorded as collected on a unique <br /> chain of custody. Nitrile gloves are utilized during each sample collection and changed between each <br /> sample. Samples are analyzed by liquid chromatograph/mass spectrometer utilizing Method 9111. The <br /> samples are labeled and recorded onto a distinct chain of custody as they are collected. All samples are <br /> then shipped via Federal ExpressTM to DataChem Laboratories,Inc.,located in Salt Lake City,Utah. <br /> DataChem Laboratories,Inc. is accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association. <br /> Site Contamination Work Plan <br /> General Requirements <br /> All personnel working on the remediation must meet the training and medical surveillance requirements <br /> of the Cal/OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard, Title 8, California <br /> Code of Regulations, § 5192 (HAZWOPER 40 Hour). Additionally, the Contractor (and workers) shall <br /> be familiar with working in hazardous environments including clandestine laboratory clean-up. The <br /> remedial activities shall not commence until SJCEHD has reviewed and approved the Remediation <br /> Work Plan. <br /> Remediation Procedures <br /> Basic mitigation efforts shall be segregated into three categories: 1) Removal and disposal. 2) Triple <br /> rinse surface washing of surfaces. 3) Sealing of walls, ceilings, and floors with an oil-based coating or <br /> similar product. <br /> A description of the specific remediation or removal method for each area,contingent upon sample <br /> results showing contamination are as follows: <br /> Modular Trailer: <br /> o Due to the condition of the trailer,the entire modular trailer shall be properly disposed of <br /> (the cost of remediation and testing would exceed the value). <br /> Metal Barn: <br /> o The vanity sink cabinet, sink, sink fixtures and drain shall be completely removed and <br /> properly disposed of(the cost of remediation and testing would exceed the value). <br /> P.O.
