All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed rodent droppings underneath the shelves in the back storage area. The owner explained that <br />the back area as not been cleaned for some time but the traps have not caught any rodents. Clean and sanitize back area <br />immediately. <br />Observed dead pests underneath the dishwasher. The owner states that the facility was recently serviced by a pest control <br />company. Remove and sanitize area immediately. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Each food facility shall be kept free of vermin: rodents (rats, mice), cockroaches, flies.( 114259.1, 114259.4, <br />114259.5) <br /> #29 Toxic Substances Properly Identified/Stored/Used <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed canisters of RAID in the kitchen and the back storage area. Remove all cans and only use <br />food-grade pest control inside of the kitchen and food preparation area. Correct immediately. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All poisonous substances, detergents, bleaches, and cleaning compounds shall be stored separate from food, <br />utensils, packing material and food-contact surfaces. (114254, 114254.1, 114254.2) <br /> #45 Floors, Walls, Ceilings; Clean and Maintained <br />OBSERVATIONS: The walk in cooler currently contains tile damage that the owner stated happed during a delivery. Repair <br />or replace the damaged tile within 30 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: The walls / ceilings shall have durable, smooth, nonabsorbent, light-colored, and washable surfaces. All floor <br />surfaces, other than the customer service areas, shall be approved, smooth, durable and made of nonabsorbent material that is easily <br />cleanable. Approved base coving shall be provided in all areas, except customer service areas and where food is stored in original <br />unopened containers. Food facilities shall be fully enclosed. All food facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair.
