Excessive adult flies, fly larvae and fly pupae were observed on the property which is a violation of
the Rules and Regulations pertaining to San Joaquin County Ordinance 877, §11, "Breeding Place
of Flies and Rodents." The Rules and Regulations indicate that the presence of fly larvae or pupae
in the animal waste constitutes evidence of fly breeding.
Immediately upon receipt of this notice, implement fly control measures to minimize fly breeding in
chicken houses 1-6 and in the manure pit behind Honen 9. Manage the chicken manure is a manner
which does not allow excessive fly breeding.
The EHD will amend the current complaint already with the San Joaquin County District Attorney
to include the above violation.
If you have any questions please contact me at(209)468-2986.
Garrett Backus, REHS
Environmental Health Department
cc: David Irey, San Joaquin County Deputy District Attorney
page 2of 2
