Box 1109 <br /> Ripon, CA 95336 <br /> SUBJECT: Manure Management Plan and Notification of Compost Site for SKS Enterprises, <br /> 23709 E Brandt Road, Lodi, CA 95240 <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) received the Manure Management <br /> Plan (MMP) and the Notification of Compost Site form for the SKS Enterprises Poultry Ranch at 23709 E <br /> Brandt Road, Lodi on January 11, 2006. <br /> The EHD rejects the Notification of Compost Site form based on the following findings: <br /> 1. "Enforcement Agency" is blank. The enforcement agency is the Environmental Health <br /> Department. <br /> 2. "County" is blank. The County is San Joaquin. <br /> 3. The land owner name, address, and phone number are not included. <br /> 4. "Authorizing Eligibility" is blank. The authorizing eligibility is Title 14 CCR Section 17856, <br /> "Agricultural Material Composting Operations." <br /> 5. "Types of Waste/Material Handled" is incomplete. Wood shavings, chicken manure and all <br /> other components of the compost mix are the waste types. <br /> 6. "Volume of Waste/Material Handled" is incomplete. Include the cubic yards of chicken manure <br /> and cubic yards of wood shavings as separate numbers. Estimate the maximum amount in cubic <br /> yards of chicken manure and wood shavings onsite at any given time. <br /> 7. "Days and Hours of Operation" is incomplete. Include days (which days of the week?) and hours <br /> of operation (start time to end time). <br /> 8. "Operation Acreage" is blank. Include the acreage size of the composting operation. <br /> 9. "Brief Description of the Operation" is incomplete. State the location of the composting . <br /> operation (inside a building or outside?). The compost operations and storage must take place <br /> indoors on a concrete pad. Outdoor compost operations will require approval by the Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board. <br /> 10. "Documentation of Local Notification" is blank. Check one of the boxes and submit the <br /> corresponding document to EHD. <br /> The EHD rejects the Manure Management Plan based on the following findings: <br /> 1. No description of the type of operations conducted at this facility. <br /> 2.
