Class II Violations <br /> Violation #20-Failed to properly label containers of hazardous waste 66262.34 California <br /> Code of Regulations (CCR). <br /> Violations found in the following areas: <br /> Hazardous Waste Storage Area: <br /> -Clear ST Tote (5) <br /> Missing hazardous property <br /> -Clear St Tote (5) <br /> -Clear FL Tote (1) <br /> -Clear CB Tote (1) <br /> -Clear C-A Tote (1) <br /> -Clear 0 Tote (1) <br /> Incomplete start accumulation date, missing the year <br /> -Special handling sorting tub <br /> Missing hazardous waste label <br /> Pharmacy: <br /> -Hazardous Waste Tote <br /> Missing physical state <br /> Missing hazardous property <br /> All containers with hazardous waste must have a label with the following information: <br /> The words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> Name and address of the facility <br /> Composition (contents) <br /> Accumulation start date <br /> Physical state <br /> Hazardous property <br /> Immediately,properly label all containers storing hazardous waste, <br /> Note: 1-Composition(contents)listed on Hazardous Waste labels are not clearly <br /> defined. <br /> Violation #24-Failed to manage incompatible wastes in containers properly 66265.17 CCR. <br /> -At time of inspection, facility was storing mixed waste aerosol cans, in FL totes, without any <br /> knowledge of compatibility. <br /> - 2 boxes of identical product, Just for Men haircolor, barcode # 1150904936, were identified as having <br /> two different hazardous properties. 1 box was identified as FL, and was stored in the <br /> Flammable/Aerosol/Toxic hazardous waste storage container while the other was identified as 0, stored <br /> in the Oxidizer hazardous waste container. <br /> -A towel was seen in the bottom of the "Special handling sorting tub". According to Cris Welsh, "towel <br /> in bottom of sorting tub because they dump products from front and they sometimes leak so the towel <br /> soaks it up. Once towel is saturated it goes in a bag in the Hazardous waste tub". <br /> Immediately, segregate incompatible wastes. All incompatible wastes must be managed <br /> and stored separately, <br /> Violation #50-Stored Hazardous Waste onsite greater than 180 days 66262.34(d) CCR. <br /> At time of inspection, accumulation start date on the hazardous waste stored in the pharmacy was <br /> listed as 7-7-09. All other storage containers of hazardous waste onsite did not have a complete date <br /> listed on the labels. They were all missing the year. <br /> Immediately, have these wastes removed by a registered hazardous waste hauler, under <br /> manifest, and submit a copy to this office. <br /> Violation #59-Generator manifest copies not sent to the Department of Toxic Substances <br /> Control (DTSC) within 30 days 66262.23(a) (4) CCR. <br /> 4 <br /> EHD Inspector Received by <br />
