INITIAL STUDY
(CONTID)
SA-92-73
J.b. The operation of the proposed facility will be subject to
regulations administered by the Regional Water Quality Control
Board. Those regulations require specific standards of
construction for waste ponds to safeguard the quality of the
local water table, as well as regulating the operation and
maintenance of the ponds. The operation will also be subject
to the regulations of the Environmental Health Division of
Public Health Services.
l.c. The proposed operation will make use of existing structures
and drainage features. The latter are comprised of three
ponds for the collection and management of animal wastes and
a drainage easement to the parcel to the south for
agricultural drainage. The operation of these facilities will
be consistent with the regulations of the Regional Water
Quality Control Board and the approved Waste Discharge
Requirements for the facility. The requirement for an
Improvement Plan, prepared by a Registered Civil Engineer and
approved by the Development Services Division prior to the
issuance of building permit, will ensure that the drainage
facility on the adjacent parcel is adequately designed and
sized to contain agricultural drainage.
1.d. There are no streams or bodies of water on the project site.
Because thereis no new construction proposed as a part of
this project, .there will be no erosion or sedimentation of the
existing drainage facility or patterns.
Initial Study (Rev:01/91)
10
