COMPLAINANT ORDERED FAMILY THAT <br /> HAD CHICKEN, BEEF,AND MACARONI SALAD. COMPLAINANTS MOTHER CAME HOME AROUND 3:00 PM AND HAD <br /> A BITE OF THE MACARONI SALAD AND SAID THAT IT TASTED AND SMELLED BAD. COMPLAINANT RETURNED <br /> MACARONI SALAD TO THE FACILITY AND EXCHANGED IT FOR SOMETHING ELSE. COMPLAINANTS MOTHER <br /> BECAME ILL WITH DIARRHEA AND NAUSEA A FEW HOURS LATER AND IS STILL FEELING A LITTLE NAUSEOUS AT <br /> THE TIME OF THIS COMPLAINT. <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br /> 113700.All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #5 Hands Clean/Properly Washed/Proper Glove Use Major <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed employee handle breaded raw chicken with a gloved hand and place breaded raw chicken into <br /> the deep fryer. <br /> Employee then placed hands in cut cabbage bin and tossed cut cabbage. <br /> Change gloves and wash hands between handling raw food and ready to eat food. <br /> Wash hands between changing gloves and putting a new pair of gloves on. <br /> Observed glove use in the facility however, gloves are not being changed between tasks and hands are not being washed. <br /> I observed one food handler change gloves and wash hands before putting a new pair of gloves on. <br /> Whenever gloves are worn they shall be changed as often as hand washing. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Employees are required to wash their hands:before beginning work before handling food/equipment/ <br /> utensils as often as necessary, during food preparation, to remove soil and contamination when switching from working with raw to ready <br /> to eat foods,after touching body parts after using toilet room or any time when contamination may occur. Ok corrected on site. Paper towels provided <br /> during inspection. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br /> maintained in good repair.
