Remedial Action Plan CVE# D17124
Westside Market, 729 N. Central Ave., Tracy, California Page 4
o lead concentrations are less than 39 mg/kg per the DTSC Human and Ecological Risk
Office document released in June 2018 setting the acceptable total lead levels for a
commercial/industrial property.
• The excavation will be backfilled with clean soil.
• Once the confirmation sample analyses demonstrate that excavation is complete, the
impacted soil stockpile will be characterized for disposal in accordance with the licensed
disposal facility's requirements. It is anticipated that the impacted soil will be disposed at
either Waste Connections' Avenal Landfill or Waste Management in Kettleman City.
• Once the impacted soil is accepted for disposal at the licensed disposal facility, the
appropriate waste manifests will be completed and the soil will be loaded into trucks and
transported to the disposal facility by an appropriately licensed transporter.
• All soil sampling on site will be handled by a third-party Geotechnical Engineering Firm.
• Upon the completion of remedial work, a report will be prepared by the Geotechnical
Engineering Firm which will include field methodologies, tabulated analytical results,
supporting documentation , and our findings. The reports will be signed by a California
Registered Engineer or Geologist.
SCHEDULE
Excavation of impacted soils can begin within one week of County approval of this Plan . It is
anticipated that excavation will take one day. Once petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in the
excavation sidewall confirmation samples show that remaining hydrocarbon concentrations are less
than the cleanup level , the excavation can then be backfilled.
We appreciate the opportunity to work with you on this project. If you have questions or require
additional information , please contact us at (559) 222-1122.
Respectfully,
Dustin Drake
Vice President
CVE Demolition, Inc.
Attachments: Figure 1 - Vicinity Map
Figure 2 - Site Map
