All monitoring equipment shall be maintained to activate audible and visual alarms or stop the <br /> flow of product at the dispenser when it detects a leak. During inspection the technician attempt to adjust the float <br /> but it did not function properly. The technician determined that it need to be replaced. <br /> Emergency repairs relating to UST system monitoring and release detection may be performed by a properly <br /> licensed, trained, and certified contractor pursuant to the EHD'S policy and a notification shall be submitted or a <br /> permit(if required) shall be obtained within one business day from the EHD. All other repairs must have a permit <br /> submitted to and approved by the EHD prior to beginning work. If the failed component cannot be replaced <br /> immediately, there is a possibility that the diesel UST system may be red tagged. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 315 HSC 25291(e)Water in secondary containment not removed, analyzed, and properly disposed of (pre-Jul 2003). <br /> Liquid was observed in the 87 STP fill sump, the 91 fill sump and the diesel fill sump . <br /> If water could enter into the secondary containment by precipitation or infiltration, it must be removed and disposed <br /> of properly. The service technician removed approximately 55gallons of liquid from the diesel fill sump. The 91 fill <br /> sump and 87 fill sump contain approximately 55gallons and 30gallons of liquid respectively pending removal.
