Between 1995 and 2015, environmental
investigation, remediation, and monitoring occurred at the Site, including drilling numerous soil borings,
operation of a groundwater extraction and treatment system, and installation of fourteen monitoring
wells. Subsequent groundwater monitoring has indicated that petroleum hydrocarbon impacts to
groundwater are limited in extent and expected to attenuate within a reasonable time frame. As a
result, the residual petroleum hydrocarbons remaining at the Site are unlikely to pose a threat to human
health or waters of the State.
H&H Marina has satisfactorily completed environmental investigation of the Site and a permanent
remedy has been successfully implemented. Because the applicable remedial action standards and
objectives have been met, no further action is required at the Site. Issuance of a No Further Action
Determination does not preclude future action by the Central Valley Water Board if subsequent
monitoring, testing, or analysis at the Site indicates that the remedial action standards and objectives
were not achieved; a new or previously undiscovered release occurs at the Site; or new information
indicates that further Site investigation and/or remedial action are required to prevent a significant risk
to human health and safety, the environment, or water quality.
If you have any questions, you may contact Jeremy Hughes by phone at (916) 464-4696 or email at
jeremy.hughes@waterboards.ca.gov.
PATRICK PULUPA
Executive Officer
Enclosures: No Further Action Required Memorandum
cc: Garrett Backus, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept., Stockton
Daniel J.
