At least initially, samples of the wastewater discharge from the plant should be analyzed monthly for all constituents of concern, not just PCP. This will allow better characterization of waste discharges. 39 . In order to determine the treatability and fate of specific constituents at the SRWCF, sampling at the plant should be extended to each major treatment unit in addition to influent, sludge, and effluent. a Sewer Line Assessment 40. The extent of contamination of soils via sewer exfiltration must be defined. Subsequent to the television inspection, locations where exfiltratior_ appear high must be excavated and sampled. Community Relations 41. CH2M Hill must review site files from the RWQCB, EPA, and the County. 42 . The State considers community interviews to be an essential portion of information gathering and they must be performed. The purpose of community interviews is to understand the level and nature of community concerns. McCormick and Baxter should allow an open discussion with interviewees regarding the site. In addition to the list of interviewees, a list of questions to be asked must be submitted to the State. 43 . The Introduction to the draft Community Relations Plan (CRP) should be more thorough than one page. The list of persons and questions for the interviews should be placed in an appendix. 44 . A Community Profile is being prepared by the Department's regional contractor and is expected in August 1987 . The Profile will be transmitted to you and should aid in completing the Plan and identifying appropriate actions prior to the Plan's finalization. Well Sampling 45 .
