SECURITY - 40 CFR 112.7(g)
The entire property is bounded by security fencing. Pole-mounted high intensity lighting
illuminates the property including diesel fuel ASTs and dispensing areas and other areas
of the Facility. The lights are placed to allow for the discovery of discharges and to deter
acts of vandalism. Perimeter fencing is present around the property as well as a security
gate to further reduce unauthorized access to the area. The gate is locked during after-
hours. The Facility is monitored with security cameras that monitor the property 24 hours
a day to reduce the opportunity for vandalism that could result in a leak or spill of
petroleum products.
4.8. TANK TRUCK UNLOADING AREAS REQUIREMENTS - 40 CFR 112.7(h or c)
Facility management is committed to ensuring the safe transfer of material to storage
tanks. The following measures are implemented to prevent oil discharges during tank
truck unloading operations.
• The emergency shut off (E-Stop button) for the diesel fuel pump for the fuel
dispenser, is located on the east side of the tank within reach of the fuel loading
valve.
• The two 6,000-gallon manifolded ASTs are equipped with an automatic shut of
mechanism for overfill protection.
4.8.1. Secondary Containment - 40 CFR 112.7(h or c) (1)
The two manifolded 6,000 gallon double wall UL Listed ASTs are mounted on a 1-foot
thick concrete pad and secondary containment. The tanks are also protected by bollards
from accidental damage from moving vehicles accidentally knocking the tanks.
The diesel fuel dispenses are within an impervious concrete pad that is sloped towards
the center of the pad. Any fuel that is accidently spilled during fueling operations will flow
towards the center of the pad for clean-up using the spill kits.
If any rainwater from containment areas are drained, it will be recorded in Appendix G.
4.8.2. Unloading Procedures - 40 CFR 112.7(h or c) (2) and (3)
All suppliers must meet the minimum requirements and regulations for truck
loading/unloading established by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
