Mobile and Portable Containers - 40 CFR 112.8(c)(11) <br /> The Facility stores and uses 55-gallon drums to store waste petroleum products that are <br /> stored over either, secondary containment steel mobile spill pallets or hard plastic <br /> immoveable spill pallets or steel pans within easy reach to land-based spill response kits <br /> for quick spill clean-up. <br /> 5.3. TRANSFER OPERATIONS, PUMPING, AND IN-PLANT PROCESSES <br /> - 40 CFR 112.8(d) <br /> Transfer operations at this Facility include: <br /> • The transfer of oil from tanker trucks to the two diesel ASTs at the loading area. <br /> • The filling of Facility vehicles at the diesel fuel AST via the fuel dispenser. <br /> • The filling of new motor oil tanks in the maintenance shop. <br /> • The transfer of motor oil, ATF and hydraulic oil to smaller containers and taken to <br /> the work areas in the maintenance shop. <br /> • The transfer of motor oil, ATF and hydraulic oil from smaller containers to vehicles <br /> in the maintenance shop. <br /> • Waste oil and filter transfer into a 55-gallon drums and periodic waste oil disposal. <br /> 5.3.1. Transfer Lines Not In-Service <br /> Lines that are not in service for an extended period of time are capped or blank-flanged <br /> and marked as to their origin. <br /> 5.3.2. Standby Transfer Lines <br /> Lines that are on standby for an extended period of time are capped or blank-flanged and <br /> marked as to their origin. <br /> 5.3.3. Pipe Supports <br /> The AST has minimal piping that is visible. The piping is limited to fill pipes and the <br /> dispenser pipes. Pipe supports are designed to minimize abrasion and corrosion and to <br /> allow for expansion and contraction. Pipe supports are visually inspected during the <br /> monthly inspection of the Facility. <br />
