Follow the steps below when cleaning up oil or chemical <br /> spills. <br /> 1. Stop the source of the spill. <br /> 2. Use absorbent clay to absorb the spill. Use paper towels or rags as <br /> needed. Important! Prevent spills from entering any drain. <br /> 3. Sweep up the absorbent material and place in the absorbent collection <br /> drum. <br /> 4. Wash hands with soap and water. <br /> 5. Ask these questions: <br /> • Is the spill 5 gallons or more? <br /> • Is oil or a chemical spilled into the ground? <br /> • Is oil or a chemical spilled into a drain? <br /> • Do significant signs of staining remain? <br /> • If the answer to any of the above is yes, then immediately call the <br /> Environmental specialist at 1-700-777-3030, ext 7217. <br /> Absorbent Collection Drum <br /> Absorbent collection drums hold used materials such as absorbent saturated <br /> with used oil, oily paper towels, and oily rags.
