San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department <br /> 1868 East Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California 95205-6232 <br /> T lephone:(209)468-3420 Fax:(209)468-3433 Web:www.sigov.org/ehd <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> A&M AUTO DISMANTLER 3679 S EL DORADO ST, STOCKTON August 09, 2018 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to c mpletely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> Yard Area: <br /> -Two black 55 gallon drums ontaining used oil(full)were observed with no hazardous waste label. <br /> -One black 55 gallon drum c ntaining used oil(full)was observed with a label missing the physical properties, <br /> hazardous properties, accu ulaiton start date,and the name and address of the generator. <br /> All hazardouswaste contain rs shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous aste" <br /> -name and address of ge erator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition(contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these cont iners and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. Send a correcti action statement to the EHD once this has been completed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to pro erly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> The owner stated that any w to oil filters are drained(not crushed or punctured)and then disposed of by recycling <br /> with the body cars. Used oil Iters shall be drained of free-flowing oil,stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled <br /> as"drained used oil filters,"a d marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately ensure that all used oil filters <br /> are managed in this way. <br /> During the inspection,the owi er stated that he would start to properly manage used oil filters. <br /> This was corrected on site. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of t e Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actio s that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by September 8, 201 . <br /> Please be aware as of January 1 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials <br /> information online to the Californi Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be <br /> sure to include your hazardous w ste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any <br /> other relevant activities and requi ed fields. <br /> Note, this violation was corrected on site: <br /> According to the owner, used abs rbent(containing car fluids), is thrown back into the car and crushed. After <br /> the car is crushed, it is sent off to a recycled. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is <br /> a hazardous waste.
