The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for KING ISLAND MARINA as of September28 , 2020 . <br /> Open violations from December 20, 2019 inspection <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date) : <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Violation #402 - Failed to store hazardous waste in a compatible container. <br /> OBSERVATION: The facility has hazardous waste stored in containers that are not compatible with the waste . Oily <br /> absorbent was put into one black 55 gallon trash bag , and one white 10 gallon trash bag . The black trash bag was <br /> completely full and was leaning on a wall ( placed onto a 55 gallon drum ) . <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The owner or operator shall use a container made of or lined with materials which will <br /> not react with , and are otherwise compatible with , the hazardous waste to be transferred or stored , so that the ability <br /> of the container to contain the waste is not impaired . <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Immediately transfer the oily absorbent to a compatible container. Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within <br /> 30 days . <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date) : <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Violation #505 - Failed to completely label stationary hazardous waste tanks . <br /> OBSERVATION: In the hazardous waste storage area , one 300 gallon hazardous waste tank storing used oil had a <br /> hazardous waste label that was missing the accumulation start date . <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with the words " Hazardous Waste" and the <br /> accumulation start date . <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Label the hazardous waste tanks with the words " Hazardous Waste" and the accumulation <br /> start date . Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department ( EHD) within 30 days . <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br />
