LQ <br /> 04V kocyctou by KOFSton. <br /> SEVERE WEATHER AND NATURAL DISASTERS <br /> Tornado: <br /> Tornado Watch - conditions are right for sever thunderstorms and possible tornadoes <br /> to develop. <br /> Senior Management Procedure <br /> Turn the radio to the National Weather Service and monitor the storm <br /> - Verify all safety shelters are <br /> o Unlocked <br /> o Accessible <br /> * First Aid kits are in shelter area <br /> o Flashlights are in shelter area with batteries to power thein <br /> If time permits, "X" the windows with tape or secure plywood to the outside of the <br /> windows <br /> Employee <br /> When a warning is issued by sirens or other means, seek inside shelter. <br /> Consider the following: <br /> o Small interior rooms on the lowest floor and without windows, <br /> o Hallways on the lowest floor away from doors and windows, and <br /> Rooms constructed with reinforced concrete, brick, or block with no <br /> windows- <br /> * Stay away from outside walls and windows <br /> a Stay away from areas with wide free span roofs <br /> Use arms to protect head and neck- <br /> Remain sheltered until the tornado threat is announced to be over. <br /> If you are outdoors and unable to access an indoor shelter, lie flat in the nearest <br /> depression, such as a ditch or ravine. If there is time, move away from the path of <br /> the Tornado at a right angle- <br /> If you are in a vehicle get out lie flat in the nearest depression, such as a ditch or <br /> ravine.
