In good condition and structurally sound; <br /> 8.1.1.2. Compatible with the waste to be contained; and <br /> 8.1.1.3. Free of incompatible materials or material residue <br /> 8.1.2. Containers of RCRA regulated waste,or other hazardous materials, being <br /> offered for transportation must meet DOT requirements. <br /> 8.1.2.1. Refer to Section 8.6.4. <br /> 8.2. Container Labeling and Marking <br /> 8.2.1. Waste containers will be labeled before they are used to contain waste. <br /> Appropriate labels must be affixed to sides of containers in accordance with <br /> the C&S Waste Management Procedures and be clearly visible for <br /> inspection. <br /> 8.2.2. The labels and markings affixed to containers of RCRA regulated waste <br /> being offered for transportation must meet DOT requirements. <br /> 8.2.2.1. Refer to Section 8.6.4 <br /> 8.2.3. Labels to be used on containers of RCRA regulated, State regulated,and <br /> Universal Waste are provided on the Waste Matrix in Appendix S. <br /> 8.3. Container Storage <br /> 8.3.1. Wastes shall be managed in away that prevents releases to the <br /> environment. <br /> 8.3.2. General storage requirements include: <br /> 8.3.2.1. Waste containers will be stored indoors; <br /> 8.3.2.2. Drums containing liquid waste will not be stacked; <br /> 8.3.2.3. Liquid waste containers will be maintained in a manner to prevent <br /> freezing; <br /> 8.3.2.4. Liquids will be prevented from coming in contact with the <br /> containers; <br /> 8.3.2.5.
