i <br /> E <br /> 3 CODE OF SAFE PRACTICES <br /> POWER WASHER <br /> JOB SUMMARY: Clean vehicles,surfaces or equipment. <br /> SKILLS REQUIRED: Safety conscious. <br /> PHYSICAL <br /> STANDARDS: Good eyesight(corrective lens ok). Ability to stand for long periods of time. <br /> JOB HAZARDS: Contusions. <br /> SAFETY <br /> EQUIPMENT <br /> REQUIRED: Safety glasses. Face shield. <br /> SAFE, CONDITIONS: <br /> Employees shall be properly instructed on the hazards of their work and of safe practices by <br /> bulletins,printed rules,verbal instructions and periodic safety meetings. <br /> SAFE PRACTICES <br /> 1. Do not stand in front of nozzle. <br /> 2. No fingers in area of forceful movement of liquids/steam. <br /> 3 Do not use near electrical equipment. <br /> 4. Do not alter or tamper with this machine. <br /> 5. Disconnect when servicing. <br /> 6. Proper circuit/grounding to be used foe electric power washers. <br /> 7. Proper extension cords to be used. <br /> S. Before plugging in,make sure machine is in"Off" position. <br /> 9. Inspect water hose before each shift. <br /> 10. Electric switches to be in good working order. <br /> 11. Follow all Company safety rules and policies. I <br /> 12. Employees must report all unsafe conditions hmnediately to a Supervisor. I <br /> 13. No horseplay is permitted. <br /> 14. Clean worksite conditions must be maintained at all times. <br /> 15. All Personal Protective Equipment(PPE)required by State or Federal Regulation must be worn. <br /> 16. All equipment guards required by State and Federal Regulations must be in place. <br /> 17. Report all accidents immediately to a Supervisor. <br /> 18. Use Lockout/Tagout/Blockout procedures when required by State or Federal Regulation. <br /> 19. Inspect equipment prior to each uw. <br /> 20. Only operate equipment that you have been trained and authorized to use. <br /> 21. All electrical wiring shall be to code and maintained in safe condition. <br /> 22. Use proper lifting techniques. <br /> 23. Only qualified personnel can perform maintenance services. <br /> 24. Follow all Manufacturers safety guidelines. i <br /> 25. Do not operate equipment under the influence of altering prescription drugs,illegal drugs and/or <br /> alcohol. <br /> 26. Ensue that all Warning,Caution and Danger signs are in place, <br />
