A special eye-wash is available <br /> at the scale house. <br /> 17492 Water Supply <br /> Potable water is supplied through the City of Lodi water supply. Mr . <br /> Sanchez told me that all site buildings, operating areas , wash-down <br /> areas, and maintenance areas are hooked-up to the city water supply. <br /> An on-site well supplies water that is used only for landscape <br /> sprinklers. <br /> 17493 Communication Facilities <br /> The site telephone number is 209-369-8274 . <br /> 17494 Lighting <br /> Adequate lighting was provided at the site to insure safety, to <br /> monitor the effectiveness of cleaning operations, and for the <br /> inspection of loaded transfer vehicles. <br /> 17495 Fire Fighting Equipment <br /> Fire fighting equipment was available on-site. Fire hoses are <br /> located in three areas of the tipping floor and all buildings and <br /> equipment are supplied with fire extinguishers. Mr . Don Hawkinson <br /> of the Lodi Fire Department ( 209-333-6735) reported that there have <br /> been no problems or complaints regarding this facility. He mentioned <br /> that an installation inspection of a 12, 000 gallon above-ground <br /> diesel fuel tank and 1 , 000 gallon gas storage tank will take place <br /> in the near future. <br /> 17496 Protection of Users <br /> The facility was designed, constructed, and operated to minimize <br /> contact between users and solid waste. Station personnel and the <br /> public are protected by the installation of railings, curbs, grates, <br /> and fences. <br /> 17511 Confined Unloading <br /> Unloading was confined to the floor of the covered tipping area. No <br /> $'stacking" of vehicles was observed. Public unloading of recyclable <br /> materials occurred in an organized, efficient manner away from the <br /> tipping floor . <br /> 17512 Cleaning <br /> This facility is cleaned daily of loose material and litter . Refuse <br /> trucks are washed down and cleaned daily.
