■ EPA ID Number—Documented on solid drum label. <br /> o Document spill/absorbent capacity in Spill log —ask where and go to spill log <br /> o Report spill to FM (800)828-0711. <br /> Major Spill not manageable by site person—ask what should you do first? <br /> o CALL 911 and FM (800) 828-0711. <br /> o Emergency shut off <br /> o Ask how do you shut off flow of gas in emergency? <br /> o ESO switches—ask where and go to all ESO locations and make sure everyone knows <br /> how to activate switch. <br /> o Breaker panel— if all else fails, cut the power off to the tanks from the electrical panel. <br /> o Button near Overfill Alarm —Show employee the location of the alarm and button. Tell <br /> employee(s)the button is not an emergency shut off. <br /> o Do all reporting and notifications as the minor spill. <br /> o Do not let people or automobiles into spill area. If a car is leaking gas, instruct driver to <br /> turn of engine as it may provide a spark that will ignite vapors. Do not move car until <br /> emergency responders arrive. Let them deal with it. <br /> o No one in the room is a hazardous materials emergency responder. If you're not sure, <br /> you probably can't handle it. <br /> o If safe, attempt to prevent spill from entering storm drain or leaving the property by <br /> building a berm/barrier with absorbent. <br /> o Report spill to FM (800) 828-0711. They may have to report to county, state and/or <br /> federal agencies depending on type and quantity of spill. <br /> o Evacuate immediate area to your Emergency Meeting location, entire site if necessary. <br /> Gas Containers <br /> Gas can only be dispensed into approved containers. No plastic bottles (other than plastic gas <br /> cans) because they will melt. <br /> Fire Response <br /> If there is a fire: <br /> o turn off the emergency shut-off <br /> o call 911 <br /> o evacuate site <br /> o contact manager <br /> o meet at the emergency meeting location <br /> Ask questions, such as, where are fire extinguishers? Find and show all Fire Extinguishers. <br /> Advise site to use only if they feel they are able to. <br /> Verify recharge indicator prior to use. PASS (Pull/Aim/Squeeze/Sweep) <br /> Propane <br /> Highly Flammable <br /> A release may be indicated by a hissing sound <br /> Find ESO switch for bulk tanks <br /> Contact FM (800) 828-0711for assistance <br /> Stormwater Pollution Prevention: <br /> Keep site clean of trash and debris. <br /> Keep dumpster area clean of trash and debris. <br /> Keep the lid closed on the dumpster at all times. <br /> Do not hose down the parking lot. <br /> 7-11 Designated Operator Training July 15,2018 <br /> Page 3 of 3 <br />
