SAN J D AR I N Environmental Health Department <br /> I Y <br /> Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> TRACY CHEVROLET 3400 AUTO PLAZA WAY, TRACY November 02, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66265.31 Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following was observed in the tank room: <br /> -Used oil and saturated absorbent pads observed accumulating on floor adjacent to one 480 gallon used oil tank. <br /> -One 55-gallon container with waste antifreeze observed with waste antifreeze accumulating on container and <br /> staining side of container. <br /> -One 480 gallon used oil tank observed with used oil stains and residue accumulating on tank. <br /> The following was observed in the scrap metal recycling area: <br /> -Used oil observed accumulating on floor underneath scrap metal recycling bin. <br /> The following was observed in the metal shaving area: <br /> -Metal fines observed accumulating on one metal shaving machine, on floor underneath metal shaving machine, on <br /> lid of one 5-gallon bucket with metal fines, on one 5-gallon jug with used oil, one 5-gallon bucket with oil. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean stains, accumulating used oil and metal fines. Manage the waste <br /> according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste.
