15.7 Observation of Disposal Facilities for Effluent Discharge <br />-40 CFR 112.8 (c)(9) <br />Settling basin collects some area surface runoff. If water were to be discharged offsite it would <br />be inspected for oil or oil sheen prior to discharge. Any discharge would be performed in <br />accordance with the requirements of the General Industrial Storm Water Permit. <br />15.8 Visible Oil Leak Corrections from Tank Seams and Gaskets <br />-40 CFR 112.8 (c)(10) <br />Visible oil leaks are reported to management so that they can be fixed immediately. Onsite <br />maintenance personnel may correct minor piping leaks. Repairs to the structural components of <br />the tank shell will be performed by a licensed tank repair and service company after <br />arrangements have been made to pump off the stored liquid to another suitable storage tank. <br />Measures will be taken to minimize and mitigate the leak, while awaiting repair. The facility <br />personnel will make arrangements to clean up any spilled oil immediately. <br />15.9 Mobile or Portable Oil Storage Containers-40 CFR 112.8 <br />(c)(11) <br />No storage of product in mobile or portable containers is conducted at the KRC TRACY <br />PLANT. <br />16.0 Facility Transfer Operations-40 CFR 112.8(d) <br />No buried oil product piping exists at this facility. Therefore, this item does not apply. <br />A fuel dispenser is mounted at the north end of each diesel AST. The piping has a very short <br />run from the tank to the pump. Pipe supports are constructed of steel. Elbow joints provide <br />adequate thermal expansion and contraction for the short run of pipe. <br />The aboveground valves and piping are currently in satisfactory condition and are examined <br />during the monthly inspection.
