Page 7 FE 382- 063- 00
Lot No . 4 : Based upon the results of borings 6 and 8 and
ttest pit 1 , the subsurface material consists of silty sands
intermixed with large quantities of debris to a depth of about 7
feet, an elevation of approximately 48 feet. A layer of black ,
Isoft, moist organic material was encountered at a depth of 7 feet .
This lens of black material was about 12 to 18 inches thick .
Beneath this material , loose to medium dense sands and silts
intermixed with a lesser amount of debris was encountered to a
depth of 16 feet . Photographs 8 and 9 presented in Appendix C
illustrate the conditions encountered in test pit number 1 .
Below these materials varying layers of loose to medium dense
silty sands exist to the limit of the boring , approximately 43
feet below existing surface elevation.
Lots A and B : Based upon the results of boring 11 and test
pit 7 , the subsurface materials consists of fine to medium sandy
silts intermixed with debris to a depth of 20 feet , an elevation
of approximately 37 feet . This material is loose to dense as
indicated by modif ied penetration counts of 16 to 98 . This
material is underlain by variable layers of dense to very dense
silty sands , silty clays and sands to the limit of the boring ,
approximately 30 feet below existing surface elevation. A static
water table was encountered at a depth of 30 feet. Photograph 20
.illustrates the materials encountered in test pit 7 .
The Foundation Engineers, Inc.
