Our services were requested
and authorized by Mr. Howard Arnaiz on February 10, 1983. The scope of our work is
outlined in our proposal dated February 2, 1983.
This report contains the following information:
1. Site plan showing the approximate locations
of the borings drilled for this investigation.
2. Logs of borings.
3. Recommendations for items noted above.
Information from "The Foundation Engineers, Inc" report for this site, their File
No. FE 382-06300, dated November 30, 1982, was used as reference in the preparation
of this report.
SITE CONDITIONS AND HISTORY
The approximate 4-acre site is located near the intersection of Awani and
Mokelumne Drives. The topography is irregular, with the highest
portion near its center. The maximum elevation difference appears to be
approximately 20 feet.
The project site has a history of having been used as a sanitary landfill for
approximately the last 30 years. Information available indicates that the site was used
as a dry-garbage and construction-debris disposal site during the years of 1935 to
1955.
