At the tine you took over the Count; Refuse Collection,, I
know that some people .had proble..-us until the routes aria date-
changes were worked out. Our collection was never int c: rrupted
and we felt you were doing a good job. Until this week, we
never had cause t0 change our opinion.
On Sunday evening, June 13, 1;.32 , ;ny Husband carried the gar-
bage can out to the curb, as 'i'landay is our ,regular ??lc':_--up day, `
it onday afternoon when he cane ho:ne from work, he went -' o move
it back, and it was still full. We called your office right at
5: 00 Ja. and were dellgh:ted to have someone answer tnt phone
and assure `us that it would be picked up Tuesday.
Tuesday, at 4:25 Pill-, I called ,your office to report 't..-hat it
still had not been nicked up. I was put on "Hold" and after
eight ;minutes I thought I mi-5 it have been forgotten, sc:1 I hung
up and dialed again. And again, and again, eontinuous,1 ,1 Cantil
5:00 when I finally got a ring instead of a busy : ignal.
Again I talked to a f irl who assured me it would be pi(':°:ed up on
;Wednesday. T asked her if she were sure, because I had been told
that about Tuesday. 'he replied I've of the tag right
here in my hand, It 'll be picked up to.norrow. "
Today, ledne.sday, 1 called your office at 4 : 00 ' .M.,, a2,, the gar-
men were alregdy in, - so if' they they hadn't h cked it up todi y, 'LL t
would have to be tomorrow (Thursday) .
I told this girl that 1 realized that tris was not her "salt,
but that I would have to lister: to ;ply husband when he ;;.)t home,
so she was going to have to lis tc?? to :ne . After we d.1,,.°,,ussed
the situation a little, she decided to "pull the tags" (whatever
that :nears ) arid see if she could. find. out what happened, " She
did so, acid thea told me that -the re,,.son it wasn't ol.c l: d u-o was
because t were wa,s a; lot of dirt in it, it was too heavy, , there
should have been a tag on the care or Elie front door, an.i it would
now cost us X5. 00 to have someone co,ne out to pick it u,.°.) (after
we ren )ved the dirt') .
