She couldn't ex-ola .n, of course , why there was no tag cn. the
can, no tag on the door, why no one had told us this wtieen we
called Monday (and if your route :nen are in by 4:00 P :.' a , it 's
possible the Daperwork was in by 5: 00 P-11, when we cal.'i ed) ,
why no one bothered to tell us this Tuesday when we ca:'.led, or
why she didn't look this un in the first place on 6Nednesday
when I called, rather than just tell me it would be picked
,up Thursday. If I had just accepted her statement that, it
would be nicked up the next day, she wouldn't have loo ed it
up, but because I was mad etough by then, she did what should
have been% done t'+londay, or Tuesday at the latest.
She asked me to check the can, so I did. Sure enough, it hadn't
been full when my husband put it out Sunday evening, so he fin-
ished it off with weeds with dirt on the roots- aut -_ too .h ;vy?
My, husband carried it out to the curb. A delivery man ;iioved it
so he could get into the driveway. I moved it back aft.er he left.
l'donderi.ng ,tow heavy it really caval, 11icked it up. Th t should
tell you how heavy it really is . I told the girt I wa-w1't going
to pay : 5. 00 to have someone cone out and pick it up	it would
just sit there.
;inclosed is a copy of the letter we got from you when ,you were
taking over this "refuse collection contract. It say,,:, nothing
whatever about size of container, what you can or can' t: put in it,
or how heavy it, can or can't be. If 1 can tick up thi:, can,
surely your strong, healthy :nen, who do this every day for a
living, can rick it up.
Webster's definition of garbage/refuse is "Unwanted or aseless
material. " ode don 't have much kitchen garbage as-' a good part of
It goes in the, coin-post pile , a.rld all alu:.nznun cant;, nev iIpapers ,
and most of the glass is recycled. So we don't feel dere is
anything wrong with filling u;> the can with any other ttjoe of
"refute that we might have. If one of us can pick it gyp, we
think urour nen should be able to. They have been, unti J now.
Since your, crir :_ ays it would cost us p j.00 to have so::ieone .coxae
then I
