Main Street
Stockton, CA 95202
Re: Site Investigation Work Plan for the Windeler Ranch Glass Disposal Site (39 -AA -
0012)
Dear Mr. McClellon,
Enclosed is the Site Investigation Work Plan which was requested in Garrett Backus'
letter dated February 13, 2007. The Work Plan was prepared by Wong Engineers. Wong
• Engineers' recommendation is to stake the points shown in the Work Plan, and then to
excavate holes to determine in the field the extent of the glass on the property.
Currently, the property is planted in corn. Sometime after the corn has been harvested,
Wong Engineers can stake the points as shown in the Work Plan. Then, Brown Sand can
use one of its excavators and dig adjacent to the stakes to determine the presence/absence
of glass. The excavator can move quickly about the property at the direction of personnel
from Environmental Health to locate, and then stake, the edge of the glass disposal area.
These stakes can be surveyed by Wong Engineers. As the Work Plan suggests, samples
can be taken and be tested at the direction of Environmental Health, if required.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at 209.595.8400.
Sincerely,
Michael Brown
Brown Sand, Inc.
r:
