TER.rmioNt: 478.7797 .9722 SAN PASQUAL WAY, STOCKMN, cAj,Ii.'01kNJA 952141 AUGUST 12, 1977 REPORT ON WINDELER RANCH -CLASS DISP05AL SITE The Windeler Ranch Class Disposal Site is used for the disposal of waste glass or "cullet" and related solid wastes resulting from the manufacturing operations of the Libbey7bw6n5-Ford Company at their Lathrop Plant. This operation is carried out in acqi6rdance with the leases hold by George B. Raab and the agreement between.10F and Raabj and the terms of the use permit granted for the operation. Copies are enclosed. Waste materials are stockpiled at the LOF'p.lent and on an approximately annual basis are hauled to the disolosal site where they are placed into the hole (formed by the flood of 1908 or thereabouts) and are covered with 4 feat of fill dirt. Fill dirt is obtained from the bottom of the hole'.by-.tra.ctortand'scraper .-or dragline. The hauling and disposal work are done during about a month long period during the summer of the year and thi site is inactive for the bulk of the year. The Diperations, are from about 6 A.,PM. to 6 P. M. at the site during the immmer hauling period. Waste is dumped from the dump trucks and is bulldozed .into the hole and later covered with earth by the bulldozer and scraper. Since the only equipment on the Site requires only one operator, no sanitary facilities -have been*provided. Roads.to-the.site have been -paved and dust control -in -the, - site area . are . provided by use of.e. water wagari when needed during operations. No salvaging takes place at the site and .none is or will be permitted Under the presentplans for operation, - No noise' odor® dust, fly, or rodent :problems, or problems of any similar nature have arisen from the operation of the disposal site..
