If a spill is <br /> found by a salon professional, the salon professional should notify a retail manager immediately. Never dispose of potentially hazardous <br /> materials in the trash or down the drain. <br /> Process <br /> • <br /> Action <br /> 1 Guard the spill by placing the wet floor cone near the spill. <br /> 2 Put on gloves and pour the absorbent materials in the area surrounding the spill. <br /> ■ If the spill is nail polish, use sugar, triple power cleanser, and a paper towel <br /> clean up the spill. <br /> 3 Work the absorbent material into the spill with the angled broom. <br /> ■ If the liquid spill occurred within a corrugated box and the box has been soiled <br /> excessively, place the soiled box into a plastic bag along with the other spill <br /> debris. <br /> 4 Sweep and clean the spill with the angled broom and dustpan. <br /> 5 Bag the item (if applicable), absorbent, and gloves together along with any remaining <br /> residue from the spill.
