WFS, Inc.
Management Team. The Station Safety Coordinator's role is to ensure corporate-
approved site safety and security programs are proactively and effectively maintained at
the operational level.
In late January 2021 when I became aware of the outstanding need to respond to
SJCEHD's 9/18/2019 hazardous waste generator inspection of the WFS-Stockton
Station, the following actions were initiated:
1. Retained the services of Ms. Maureen Daggett and Environmental Compliance Services
(ECM Services) to assist WFS representatives with identification of applicable
corrective action and/or response for each of the 14 findings of non-compliance
summarized in the 9/18/2019 inspection report. Ms. Daggett has over 30 years of
experience in providing comprehensive environmental regulatory compliance support
services to California's industrial and commercial communities. As of February 24,
2021, the following Return to Compliance actions have been completed or are in-
process:
a. Conducted a site inspection and operational review to identify current site
conditions, including waste generating activities;
b. Based on the site inspection and operational review, identified and profiled
RCRA,Non-RCRA and universal waste streams currently generated at the WFS
Stockton Station; and
c. In the process of developing a predictive regulated waste management program
that provides for waste-specific practices to minimize the generation of the
regulated wastes, as well as proper handling, storage, and shipping/disposal
requirements for each identified regulated waste; and
2. Effective immediately, assigned all WFS-Stockton regulated waste management
responsibilities to the Station Safety Coordinator. The Station Safety Coordinator will
serve as the facility's point-of-contact and will be responsible for monitoring all waste
generating activity, including recordkeeping, to ensure that only pre-approved regulated
wastes are generated at the Stockton Station, and in accordance with each approved
waste stream's generation, handling, storage, and shipping/disposal requirements.
As you may recall from your site inspection, the Stockton Station operates in a fairly
basic facility. In early 2020, the Stockton Metropolitan Airport Authority began the
design and permitting process for the construction of a new 10-acre air cargo facility at
4723 B. Street in Stockton, that incorporates WFS-Stockton Station's current footprint.
Construction of the new 60,000 sq. ft warehouse facility began in August 2020, with a
scheduled completion date of April 30, 2021.
Bldg.151 East Hangar Road,Suite 361
JFK International Airport Jamaica,NY 11430 USA WFSl.:(718)244-0900 Fax:(718)244-1404 V V
www.wfs.aero
Worldwide Flight Services
