Verification of flapper functionality. Ensure that all pertinent tank charts and <br /> calculations are available for review at the time of inspection , <br /> j) Sensor functionality: Functionality of the monitoring system must be verified to ensure that <br /> monitoring has been restored to meet the requirements of Title 23 California Code of <br /> Regulations and the Health & Safety Code. If it is determined that a cold start is necessary , <br /> a copy of the alarm history shall be printed prior to performing the "cold start" of the Veeder <br /> Root system and made available at the time of EHD inspection . <br /> k) Verification of the dispenser footprints contained by the UDCs ; any potential leaks from <br /> piping and fuel filters must drain directly into UDCs . <br /> 1) Visual inspection of the piping within the dispensers <br /> m) Leak detector test: Leak detectors must monitored lines volumes shall be appropriate for <br /> the make and model of the installed leak detectors , and shall be verified at the time of <br /> piping installation . <br /> Please be aware that the facility cannot receive fuel or operate the UST system prior to the <br /> EHD inspection and approval. <br /> 4 , Any individual performing the work of a service technician must meet the following <br /> qualifications: <br /> a . Possess or be employed by a person who possesses one of several permissible valid , <br /> current contractor's licenses issued by the Contractors State License Board (may be <br /> issued to the installation company) , or a Tank Tester's license issued to the individual by <br /> the State Water Board , and <br /> b , Possess or work under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically <br /> present at the work site who possesses a valid , current California UST Service Technician <br /> certificate issued by the International Code Council ( ICC) , and <br /> c. Possesses a valid , current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the <br /> component(s) being tested , repaired , or serviced . <br /> I <br /> 5 . Individuals installing underground storage tank system components must possess or work <br /> under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site <br /> who possesses all of the following : <br /> a . A valid , current contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board , and <br /> b , A valid , current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International Code <br /> Council ( ICC) , and <br /> c, A valid , current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being <br /> installed . <br /> 6 . The tank owner or operator shall log into the California Environmental Reporting System <br /> (CERS) at http ://cers . calepa . cg agy/ and ensure all UST information is current. <br /> 7. All components must be certified by an independent testing organization and labeled as <br /> required by the organization (UL, ULC , ANSI , API , ASTM , etc.) . See California Code of <br /> Regulations (CCR) Title 23 , Chapter 16, Table B for a complete list. <br /> 8. Permit expires 180 days from the date of approval .
