METAL FINISHING SOLUTIONS, INC.
HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATION
Metal Finishing Solutions, Inc. located in Stockton California is in the metal finishing business. The
company processes include cleaning, coating and rinsing of metal parts provided by its main customers.
These steps utilize an Eco -Friendly High -Efficient Conversion Coating which provides corrosion
resistance & excellent adhesion for Electric Vehicles. The current list of hazardous wastes generated at
the facility is provided in Exhibit 1 below. The two main areas in the plant are (1) clean, coat & rinse
process line and (2) waste treatment.
Customer parts are cleaned in alkaline cleaner solutions, coated (anodized) and dried. The parts are
transferred to successive tanks containing either the process solution or rinsewater. The wastes are spent
processing solutions, relatively concentrated rinsewater and dilute rinsewater. Customer parts are dried,
inspected and packaged for return shipment.
The spent plating solutions from process tanks:
• Tank #2 — Degrease Dip,
• Tank #5 — Deoxidize Bath,
• Tank #8 — Gardobond Bath
are emptied into waste totes and / or drums, and properly disposed of utilizing certified hazardous
waste transporter(s) to a certified Designated Facility.
The rinsewater from the following Rinse Tanks:
• Tank #3 — Rinse
• Tank #4 — Rinse
• Tank #6 — Rinse
• Tank #7 — Rinse
• Tank #9 — Rinse
• Tank #10 — Rinse
• Tank #11 — Rinse
Are consolidated into MFS facility's Waste Tanks (Acid or Alkaline) and treated into a series of waste
neutralizing tanks.
