extinguishers, fire extinguishers will be checked to make sure extinguishers are <br />recharged before expiration dates. Recharging of fire extinguishers will be <br />carried out by a company that is licensed to carry out this job. <br />Safety training regarding the use of the windrow machine. Many if not all <br />machinery now come with paperwork on safety issues regarding that particular <br />piece of machinery. <br />Tractor safety when using loaders and other equipment required to <br />accomplish the task. <br />Safety equipment required or recommended to do the job. Safety glasses, dust <br />masks or respirators, ear plugs if in proximity to machinery, the appropriate <br />footwear, boots or shoes (no sandals or shoes that would be unsafe for the job <br />site). <br />Safety training prior to using any disinfectants, reviewing labels and material <br />safety data sheets. If disinfectants are utilized, the proper safety equipment <br />worn and decontamination facilities will be available; eye wash, hand and body <br />wash stations. <br />Emergency numbers will be posted in highly noticeable areas. <br />All personnel will be trained prior to becoming involved in the composting <br />process. All training will be documented and the records will be kept at the <br />office. This training will be carried at least once a year. New employees will be <br />safety trained prior to beginning work at the compost facility. <br />11 <br />
