Poultry Houses: There are two poultry houses.At the present time the facility operates <br /> year round with approximately 80,000 birds.The house is approximately 40 years old. <br /> The house is 162,480 square feet and made of wood lath with metal roofs. There is a single <br /> row of hanging cages with a wooden scrape board beneath the cages. They have concrete <br /> path ways and shallow pits directly below the row of cages and scrape aisles. Each house <br /> has a manure pit associated with it.The aisles are scraped clean: manure is wet.The <br /> manure is picked up by a poultry clean machine and its being cleaned every day. The <br /> process is completed within 2 days and the manure is being stored in the manure pits.After <br /> this process the pump truck picks up the manure from the pits and sprays them on the <br /> orchards as a fertilizer.We haul at least eleven loads of manure twice a week to the local <br /> farmers. Feed storage:Any feed that is being delivered to the chicken house is carried in 24 <br /> tons feed truck.The feed is being stored into feed tanks that are located in front of the <br /> chicken houses. Type of feed being used is made of mostly corn and other grain ingredients. <br /> Manure pit dimensions are 13 w x 411 x 10 ft deep.We produce 9.04 tons of wet manure a <br /> day. Garbage disposal:We have no garbage container in the premise.All garbage being <br /> generated is being carried to 18832 Mello Ave Ripon Ca 95366.The garbage disposal <br /> company is Gilton Solid Waste. <br /> Local Farmers: <br /> Charlie, 18600 N.Ripon Rd.,Ripon Ca <br /> Nepote Farm, 17309 N.Ripon Rd,Ripon, Ca <br /> Paul, 18401 Wagner Rd.,Ripon, Ca <br /> Villanueva Farms, 18396 Wagner Rd., Ripon, Ca <br /> Residences: There are 2 residences and/or employee houses on-site. They provide fresh <br /> water to the residences, poultry houses, and processing plant(not in use). The wells are <br /> within the poultry operation and pipelines transport water around the operation and to the <br /> various residences. <br /> Bird Mortality: S.K.S. has about a.03% mortality rate a week. The birds are incinerated. <br /> If large amounts of birds need to be disposed of,S.K.S. has to contact a Landfill. <br /> Septic Systems: There are 4 domestic septic systems on-site. They are located by the <br /> residences, the processing plant,and any house that has a bathroom associated with it. <br /> These systems are for human waste only. They are underground and pumped out as <br /> needed by a commercial septic company. <br /> 5 <br />
