d
Power
S.K.S. receives their electricity from PG&E. There is aback up generator on-site to
maintain the facility in case of a power outage.
Vector Control
SKS Enterprises maintains an active and ongoing rodent and fly control program.
Cutting, mowing and /or removing weeds and brush away from the production buildings
and processing plant (minimum 25 feet) to reduce rodent harborage. Areas around
buildings will remain free of unwanted debris and material. Varieties of rodent baits are
utilized for the control of rodents on the poultry facilities. Rodenticides will be rotated by
active ingredient 1 — 2 times a year. Each building has Tin cats and is monitored on a
bimonthly basis. If rodent activity is noticed, bait will be replaced and if necessary one or
two additional bait stations will be placed in the vicinity. If the number of rodents caught,
found dead or seen visually increases, then the baiting level and frequency of monitoring
will be elevated. Fly control is monitored by carrying a fly sticky tape up and back
through the aisles and walking at a normal pace then the number of flies will counted and
recorded bimonthly. A record of 75 or fewer flies indicates satisfactory. All vector control
is done on site by SKS employees. Records are kept at the office.
8
