During normal working hours, the ES&H Team Environmental Analyst is <br />the point contact for environmental issues. The ES&H Team Environmental Analyst <br />shall notify the EDO when an incident occurs in an area the ES&H Team Environmental <br />Analyst supports, and together they shall assess the possible hazards to the <br />environment. During off -hours, the ES&H Team Environmental Analyst supporting the <br />program area may be called to assist the EDO. <br />During normal working hours the ES&H Team Environmental Analyst shall: <br />• Identify the character, source, amount, and extent of released material. <br />• Assess the possible hazards to the environment. <br />• Ensure waste that is incompatible with the released waste is not handled in the <br />affected area until cleanup is complete. <br />• Assist the EDO in making regulatory agency reporting determinations, including <br />the notification to applicable agencies that regulatory compliance has been <br />achieved before operations resume at a WAA. <br />2.7 Support Organizations <br />2.7.1 Environment, Safety and Health Team <br />The Site 300 ES&H Team Deputy Leader is notified in the event of fires or explosions, <br />major earthquakes, or waste releases within a WAA. Each WAA has the support of the <br />Site 300 ES&H Team; members of the ES&H Team may be called at any time to assess <br />possible ES&H issues. The ES&H Team consists of technicians (see Section 2.7.2) as <br />well as specialists in the following fields: <br />• Industrial Hygiene, <br />• Industrial Safety, <br />• Health Physics, <br />• Environmental Protection, <br />• Explosives Safety, <br />• Fire Protection Engineering and Prevention, and <br />• Occupational Medicine. <br />2.7.2 Technician Support <br />Other support personnel include the H&S Technicians and RHWM Technicians. The <br />H&S Technicians can assist in securing areas, monitoring the safety of the area and <br />personnel, and cleanup operations.
