CAC SECTION OBSERVATIONS RESULT <br /> DISPOSAL SITE HEALTH AND SAFETY. <br /> 17666 Sanitary A chemical portable toilet was located C <br /> Facilities. to the south of the equipment shed on <br /> site. (See photo I-2-1) . <br /> 17667 Water Supply. Drinking water , supplied by Sierra C <br /> Bottled Water, was located in the <br /> gatehouse. <br /> 17668 Communication A telephone was present in the C <br /> Facilities. gatehouse. Phone # ( 209) 835-3167 . <br /> 17669 Lighting. The site did not operate during the N <br /> hours of darkness. <br /> 17670 Personnel Safety equipment and supplies were C <br /> Health and available to employees. The operator, <br /> Safety. Carl Maxwell, wore seat belts on the <br /> day of my inspection. <br /> DISPOSAL SITE OPERATIONS. <br /> 17676 Confined The working area was measured to be V <br /> Unloading. 540 feet by 240 feet by the <br /> rangefinder . This area was too large <br /> to control wind blown materials. <br /> Waste was stockpiled to the north of <br /> the working face before being pushed <br /> down the working face to the south. <br /> (See photo I-2-7, I-2-6) . <br /> 17677 Spreading and The waste was spread down the slope C <br /> Compacting . from north to south and was compacted <br /> by many passes by the dozer . <br /> 17678 Slopes and I measured the slope of the working C <br /> Cuts . face to be 15 degrees or a ratio of <br /> 3 : 73:1 by the clinometer . This slope <br /> was of an angle that allowed effective <br /> compaction by the type of vehicle <br /> used. <br /> 17679 Final Site There was no final site face according N <br /> Face. to Carl Maxwell , operator/supervisor . <br /> Page No. 4 of 10 Inspector :_ <br />
