CALIFORNIA WASTE MANAGEMENT BOARD
FACILITY INVESTIGATION SUMMARY
Investigation #3 Page 1 of 3
Facility: City of Tracy Landfill
SWIS #: 39-AA-005
Location: Junction of Corral Hollow
Road and I-580, Tracy.
Local Enforcement Agency: San Joaquin Local Health District
Investigation Date: February 26, 1988.
Investigated by: Jesse Adams
I conducted the third investigation of the subject facility on
February 26, 1988. I was accompanied by Mr . Alan Biedermann of
the San Joaquin Health District . The results of the
investigation were discussed with Mr . Biedermann.
Investigation results including violations of State Minimum
Standards, indeterminates, and corrections implemented are
outlined below. The facility was found in compliance with all
other standards. Results of the investigation were forwarded to
the facility operator and the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) .
Photo documentation is available from the Board upon written
request .
VIOLATIONS
The following violations of the California Code of Regulations
(CCR) were documented during the inspection:
Section 17684 - Intermediate Cover
The morphology of disposal cells from past operations could be
observed on the steep East and West walls of the active pit.
Although exposed waste was not observed, the steepness of the pit
walls precludes the application of proper intermediate cover .
2 X/Y
S06tion Manager Was a Management Specialist
