V. SUMMARY <br />The load checking program described herein was developed to <br />satisfy the requirements of Title 23, Chapter 3, Subchapter 15, <br />Section 2523.b. of the California Administrative Code which <br />requires that periodic load checking programs be implemented at <br />Class III sanitary landfills. The hazardous waste exclusion <br />program described herein which includes an assigned load checker, <br />vehicle logging and removal of hazardous waste by a hazardous <br />waste hauler and installation of a chemical storage locker on <br />site is currently.being implemented at the Corral Hollow Sanitary <br />Landfill. Site personnel are currently trained to identify and <br />segregate prohibited waste for removal. <br />The implementation of the Hazardous Waste Exclusion and Load <br />Checking Program will increase awareness of users of the site to <br />legal restrictions on prohibited waste, discouraged attempts at <br />illegal disposal because of possible incursion of expensive <br />disposal fees by offenders and made handling of hazardous waste <br />encountered at the site more efficient. <br />L 8G062SI-,'S 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 <br />BOTTOM L BOTTOM65 <br />h�' <br />_.1 -7 - <br />
