PAYNE
DEPUTY DIRECTOR
In accordance with provisions set forth in Part B (Discharge
Specifications) of the Waste Discharge Requirements for the Corral
Hollow Sanitary Landfill, the following Winterization Plan is
submitted for review:
I. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF WINTER DISPOSAL SITE
The Winterization Plan will span the years 1991 through 1993 where
operations will begin in the fall and extend through the winter
season. The areas to receive waste during this time are as shown
in the topographic base map titled Winterization Plan. A schedule
has been provided showing the anticipated volume of waste to be
received during the winter period. The amount of waste to be
received is based upon a gate volume of 314,414 cubic yards in
fiscal year 1990-91 and a seasonal duration period of 5 months. The
waste fill volumes have been computed using a series of eight and
ten foot lifts with side slopes of 3:1 and a 4% grade slope, in
excess of CCR Title 23, Chapter 3, Subchapter 15 requirements. If
sufficient space is not available for the duration period, then
parts of adjacent areas may be used as needed to provide for
additional space.
