14 CCR 17616 - Report of Disposal site Information (RDBI)
Concern:
The RDSI must be updated to reflect the current operation of the
site. This facility is now operated by the San Joaquin County
Department of Public Works. The hours of operation have been
changed from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. Also, at the time of the
inspection, the landfill was accepting Celotex waste which was not
specified in the 1983 SWFP.
Response:
The RDSI will be updated to reflect the current operat16n of the
site by November 1, 1990.,
If written verification is not obtained from the regulatory
agencies by Sept. 28, 1990, Celotex waste disposal will not be
allowed at the site.
Concern:
Rudy Rodriguez, Assistant Civil Engineer for the Solid Waste
Division, informed Mr. Ramos that the only drainage control at the
site is by channeling water along the slope of the landfill. Mr.
Ramos is concerned that drainage water in the southwestern portion
of the landfill may come in contact with wastes during
precipitation and that the drainage water would then flow off -site.
Response:
All areas of exposed waste have been covered at the landfill.
Consequently, drainage water will not come into contact with any
wastes.
A Winter Operation Plan is currently being prepared by the County.
This plan will be submitted to the LEA for approval by November 1,
1990. Drainage will be addressed in the Winter Plan.
V
