The facility <br /> will occupies 15 acres and includes a 124,500 square <br /> foot Transfer/Recycling Building, an Office and <br /> Maintenance Building, recycling areas, four scales, a <br /> scale house, a retention pond for site drainage, and a <br /> network of paved roadways. The facilities have been <br /> sized to handle the Central County waste stream through <br /> the year 2020. All incoming waste is unloaded onto a <br /> tipping floor inside the Transfer/Recycling Building. <br /> Recyclables, such as metals, plastic, newspaper, <br /> cardboard, yard waste, wood, C&D, carpet and others, <br /> are be separated and sorted. Residual waste is taken to <br /> the Foothill Sanitary Landfill. <br /> FACILITY CAPACITY The Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility and Transfer <br /> Station is permitted to process an average of 800 tons <br /> per day and a peak of 1300 tons per day. <br /> EXPECTED About 5% of the waste passing through this facility will be <br /> DIVERSION RATE diverted from the waste stream. <br /> PARTICIPATING City of Manteca, City of Stockton, and the unincorporated <br /> JURISDICTIONS Central County area. <br /> LOCATION Located on Lovelace Road between Airport Way and <br /> Union Road approximately 5 miles south of Stockton in <br /> the unincorporated area of central San Joaquin County. <br /> s <br />
