Caunty ofi San Joaquin <br /> Eas <br /> t Stockton Recycling and Transfer Stadion <br /> Fact Sheet <br /> TYPE OF FACILITY Existing Facility—An affiliate of Commercial Salvage <br /> owns and operates this facility as a materials recovery <br /> facility/transfer station that processes commercial and <br /> industrial waste collected by private refuse collection <br /> companies. Recyclable material, such as glass, <br /> cardboard, and metals, are separated, and the residual <br /> material is transported to a County Landfill. More <br /> recyclable material will be diverted at this facility as <br /> markets develop. This facility must be expanded in order <br /> to reach long-term diversion goals. <br /> FACILITY CAPACITY The East Side Transfer Station is permitted to process a <br /> maximum of 512 tons per day. <br /> EXPECTED Currently, about 20% of the waste passing through this <br /> DIVERSION RATE facility is diverted from the waste stream. <br /> PARTICIPATING Waste from the City of Stockton and the unincorporated <br /> JURISDICTIONS areas of Refuse Service Areas C, D, & E are taken here <br /> for processing. <br /> LOCATION Located at 2435 East Weber Avenue, within the City of <br /> Stockton. <br /> 7 <br />
