Contingencies
The composting facility operates under a comprehensive fire protection plan reviewed by the
Lathrop -Manteca fire department. This plan include site management issues, and protocol to
follow in the event of a fire on the site.
The facility has back up plans in the event of a power outage or equipment breakdown that
would not allow full operation of the facility. The equipment is run on diesel so power outages
will not affect the operation of the primary equipment. This protocol includes renting
equipment (from Hertz Rental nearby or the equipment manufacturers) and bringing water on
site (from Gigli Hay, about 1.5 miles from the site). if the outage prevents the pumping of
water for more than 24 hours. Incoming material will be completely covered with a tarp if it is
not able to be incorporated in a timely manner, within three days of receipt.
OIMP Review
This OIMP will be maintained on-site and revised as necessary to reflect any changes in the
design or operation of this site.
The OIMP will be revised to reflect any changes and will be provided to the LEA within 30 days
of the changes. The OIMP will be reviewed once yearly on the anniversary of the approval and
any necessary changes or updates will be made at that time.
no
