Inspection Report Comments <br /> Quaterly compost inspection performed on this date and the following was noted: <br /> 1. Previous area of concern regarding the pile of treated wood waste(TWW)not being in compliance with <br /> regulations that pertain to the accumulation and storage of TWW has been corrected. The TWW <br /> documented in the 12/15/10 inspection report was taken to Forward Landfill. TWW generated since <br /> then is now in a container. It is recommended that the signage on the container meet the <br /> requirements per Title 22 Sectipn 67386.5(b). It is also recommended that the container be covered <br /> as per Title 22 Section 67386.6 (a)(2)(13)(1). TWW may be accumulated in containers for no longer <br /> than one year from the date the TWW is generated. <br /> 2. Previous area of concern regarding the Special Occurences Log not being filled out during the time of <br /> the inspection has been corrected. A copy was submitted to the EHD. <br /> 3. There are piles of feestock that caught on fire on 1/10/11. These piles have been separated from the <br /> current feedstock piles and have not been integrated into the composting process.The piles must be <br /> integrated or disposed of by 7/10/11 per Title 14 Section 17852 (15). <br /> 4. The current feedstock on site has been separated into multiple piles as recommended by the EHD on <br /> the 1/11/11 inspection report. Although it has not been implemented, it is still recommnended that <br /> multiple temperatures at varying heights be taken for each feedstock pile. <br /> 5. The operator has provided lab results for the metal concentrations,fecal coliform levels, and <br /> Salmonella levels of the compost product as requested on the 12/15/10 inspection report. The <br /> operator also provided a receipt for the purchasing of the chain link. <br /> 6. The temperature and turning records of the windrows now indicate when each windrow is moved <br /> to undergo the screening process. <br /> 7. The total amount of material on site was approximately 4,829 cubic yards. <br /> 8. The temperatures of the windrows ranged between 91 F and 155 F. The temperature range of the <br /> feedstock piles ranged between 76 F and 97 F. The temperature of the burned pile was 94 F. The <br /> temperature range of the ground up material was 89 F to 107 F. The temperature of the overs, <br /> pre-screened product, and the screened product was 75 F, 79 F, and 78 F respectively. <br />
