Hi Brendan,
I hope all is well with you and the CVRWQCB team. The pandemic has been very
challenging for many of us. The future is looking brighter with the vaccines!
I am following up with you regarding SFPUC's submittal on October 8, 2020 to address
the NOV issued on June 27, 2018. I have checked in with you a couple of times since
October to see if the CVRWQCB team had any comments or questions on the SFPUC
submittal, but I have yet to receive any feedback. SFPUC extended the baker tank rental
in December 2020, at a cost of$72,000 to March 2021, due to the uncertainty of
CVRWQCB's review and with consideration that there might not have been sufficient
time for review at the time. SFPUC is not looking to extend the baker tank rental beyond
March 2021 unless CVRWQCB has concerns with SFPUC's approach and notifies SFPUC
of the specific concerns.
SFPUC team and consultants put forth a significant effort to address the NOV in the last
two years; CVRWQCB and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
are informed of SFPUC's efforts and actions taken every step of the way. The consultant
contracts will end in September 2021, after which the consultants will be unavailable to
answer any questions pertaining to their work. The SFPUC team had hoped to hear back
from CVRWQCB staff with a decision by now. However, the SFPUC team don't want to
bother you with more prompts to review the SFPUC submittal (I don't want to sound like
an annoying broken record). If you should find yourself wanting to discuss the submittal
in the future, the SFPUC team will do our best to answer any questions you or your
colleagues may have.
Sincerely,
